Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting this afternoon (Dec. 21) reported a weather event is anticipated to impact the East Kootenay starting Wednesday, December 22, and carry on into Sunday, December 26.

Total accumulations expected each day:

• 10 cm in the Yahk/Cranbrook/Kimberley areas;

• 15 cm for the Elk Valley;

• Five cm for the Columbia Valley.

Mainroad added it will be updating the Weather Advisory throughout the duration of this event.
