Electrical issues caused facility closure

UPDATEThe electrical issue has been fixed.  The facility reopened as usual on Tuesday (April 4).

Electrical issues are behind the decision by the City of Cranbrook to close Western Financial Place and the Aquatic Centre late Monday afternoon (April 3).

The electrical issues are affecting facility lighting and causing issues operating the pumps for the aquatic centre. BC Hydro will be on site shortly to help the city investigate the cause of the problem.

The City of Cranbrook apologizes for any inconvenience this closure may cause and we will work to have this problem corrected quickly.  We will provide updates as soon as they are available.
