City of Fernie council is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated youth (grade 11 or 12) student to participate in council meetings to raise awareness of local government activities amongst youth, increase council’s awareness of youth issues in the community and to bring a youth perspective to council matters and discussions.

This volunteer position will be appointed for a one-year term and will have the opportunity to attend the BC Youth Parliament in Victoria.

Applicants for Youth Council Representative must also be a City of Fernie resident and willing and able to attend council meetings as scheduled.
