Fernie’s snow season celebrated
Fernie’s approaching snow season will be celebrated at the annual Fernie Alpine Ski Team (FAST) Ski Swap and the Fernie Ski and Board Film Fest!
Join hundreds of skiers and boarders as they flock to the Community Centre on Saturday, November 4 to swap gear followed by the year’s best ski and board films.
This years films include DROP EVERYTHING, ROGUE ELEMENTS, and ARCADIA on a large format screen with professional sound! See the film previews here.
The Fernie Ski and Board Film Fest is more that a film showing, it’s a party! Drinks and food will flow from the gang at the Raging Elk’s Kodiak Lounge and delicious pizza will be served from the Bridge Bistro.
Plus there is great prizing and this year’s Film Fest is stacked. Everyone attending will receive a two for one lift ticket to Fernie Alpine Resort and Castle Mountain. Plus everyone will have a chance to win snow vacations, snowcat skiing and boarding, skis, boards, clothing and more.
The Film Fest is the season’s sole fundraiser for the Canadian Ski Patrol (CSP). Each winter CSP members provide over 400 days of volunteer patrol services in Fernie and Elkford. These guys and girls are amazing, be sure to come out and support their effort!
Tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids for all three shows and are available at Gearhub Sports, the Edge of The World, The Raging Elk, the FAST Ski Swap, and online.
Get your tickets soon as the event sells out!
