IF Fernie adapting to pandemic

Independent Film Fernie (IFF) is back (kind of).

Fernie Arts Station reports it will be hosting IFF film club on the second Tuesday night of the month, from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

“We’ll choose an indie film available on Netflix that you can watch at your leisure, and then we’ll meet virtually on Tuesday nights to discuss it! Register for free and we will send you the zoom link to participate,” IFF explained.
This upcoming week’s film is The White Tiger.

Balram Halwai (Adarsh Gourav) narrates his epic and darkly humorous rise from poor villager to successful entrepreneur in modern India. Cunning and ambitious, our young hero jockeys his way into becoming a driver for Ashok (Rajkummar Rao) and Pinky (Priyanka Chopra-Jonas), who have just returned from America.
