Election signs damaged in Kimberley

Kimberley RCMP received a report of several election signs that have been damaged over the long weekend.

The signs appear to be purposefully damaged or pulled out of the ground, reported Detachment commander Sgt. Chris Newel.

Depending on the totality of the circumstances, a person(s) could face potential criminal charges, for example mischief, should they be identified as being responsible for causing damage to any election sign related to the Provincial Election, he advised.

If persons witness damage being done or have information related to the damage they are asked to contact the Kimberley RCMP or Crimestoppers.
