First Saturdays concludes for another year

The last First Saturdays event of the year was held in Kimberley this past weekend.
Oktoberfest was the theme with lots of activities and events during the day in and around the Platzl. New this year was the beer festival, hosted by Overtime Beer Works of Kimberley, featuring local brewers.
Event organizer Ken Dodds said he felt it was very worthwhile and hopes to expand it next year.
Bands and musicians played in the Platzl gazebo throughout the day. The night wrapped up with the ever popular, Kimberley favourite, The Hollers.
During the evening performance attendances could purchase barbecued bratwurst and European wieners, hosted by the Kimberley Arts Council.
