Mayor rallies community to vote for Kimberley Alpine Team
City of Kimberley Mayor Don McCormick today urged city residents to rally with votes to help the Kimberley Alpine Team win $50,000.
“This has been a challenging year for the Kimberley ski community. Let’s rally together and celebrate what makes our ski community great,” the Mayor said in a social media alert that the Kimberley Alpine Team is competing in the Mackenzie Top Peak contest for a chance to win $50,000.
“This would be a game changer for the club,” McCormick said.
Mackenzie Top Peak is a national competition and a call to action for ski communities across Canada to show their spirit. At the end of the ski season, a panel of judges will award Canada’s Top Peak with $50,000 to invest in the cause of their choosing.
