Official opening of revitalized Cominco Gardens July 15
Join us on Wednesday, July 15, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. for an afternoon of music, culture, and community in one of Kimberley’s most beloved gathering places – Cominco Gardens.
After two years of planning and improvements, we’re excited to welcome the community back to enjoy this refreshed public space.
The project reflects a shared commitment to preserving the gardens while enhancing them for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come.
The celebration will feature an exciting performance by Taiko, a Japanese drumming group, along with live music from The Trio.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with neighbours, enjoy great entertainment, and experience the gardens in a whole new way.
“Cominco Gardens has always been a special place in Kimberley, and this project gave us the chance to thoughtfully refresh and improve it for future generations,” said Nik Morissette, City of Kimberley’s Senior Manager of Operations.
“We’re grateful for the province’s support in helping make this project a reality, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to enjoy this beautiful community space.”
Everyone is welcome. Bring your friends, family, and lawn chairs, and join us as we celebrate this exciting milestone together.
