On July 3, Elk Valley RCMP frontline officers conducted a traffic check-stop in the Baynes Lake area.

Five Elk Valley RCMP officers were present for the check-stop.

Over two hundred vehicles were checked for driver’s licences, insurance, and driver sobriety.

A three-day impaired driving suspension was issued, a prohibited driver served, along with violation tickets for speed, insurance, and driver’s licence infractions.

Numerous warnings were issued to drivers as well.

Elk Valley RCMP want to remind drivers that by law you must carry a valid driver’s licence and proof of active insurance for your vehicle.
