Busy weekend for MBSS sports teams

MBSS Weekend Sports Summary

The Mount Baker Secondary School (MBSS) Junior Girls’ Volleyball team was in Sparwood on Friday and Saturday. Despite being shorthanded a couple of girls, they had three good games in their pool, then lost to Jaffray on the crossover, placing fourth overall.

The Senior Girls’ and Boys’ Volleyball teams were in Calgary on Friday and Saturday. The girls had three wins and three losses; the boys had four wins and two losses. Both teams made it into the semi-finals/finals with the girls finishing in fourth place and the boys in second overall.

In Creston’s ‘Brawl in the Fall’ Tournament, the Senior boys’ Soccer (pictured right) team won the championship with the following stats: MBSS vs Selkirk 3 – 3; MBSS vs JL Crowe 7 – 1;  Semi Final Game MBSS vs Nakusp: 4 – 0; Final Game: MBSS vs Selkirk 5 – 0.

The Senior Volleyball teams are travelling to Edmonton this weekend (October 6/7).
