The District of Elkford reports a crew from Cranbrook is en route to repair a gas line, accidentally struck on Alder Street by contractors during the paving project this morning.
Elkford Fire Rescue and FortisBC are currently on the scene.
Please follow the directions of the Elkford Fire Rescue and FortisBC crews until the repair is completed.
The District of Elkford will share updates as it receives them.
“Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible,” the district stated on social media.
