September at the Fernie Heritage Library

We are excited about the beautiful weather as well as the fall programming happening at the Fernie Heritage Library.

Family Programming  

Storytimes at 11:15 a.m.:  Tuesdays (Preschool); Wednesdays (Ages 0-2); Fridays (All ages, Coffee social after storytime).

PJ Storytime “Pioneer Days” on Sept 19th, 6:30pm

School-Aged Programming 

After-school drop in (starts at 3 p.m.): Beginning September 3,  children aged seven to 11 are invited to enjoy activities on the library’s main floor around the theme of WORDPLAY. Activities are set up to introduce children to the library space. They are drop-in, come and go. Regular after-school programs will begin in October.

Fun Friday Program on Friday, Sept 20th, 1:00-2:00pm ages 7+

Teen Programming

Drop In Card Games: Saturdays – Sept. 21 and 28, 3-4:30 p.m.

Rummy, Crib, Crazy Eights and War: bring a friend, win a round! Snacks for all. Teens 12+  welcome.

Adult Programming

Meet Your Local Library: Thursday, Sept 26, 6:30-7:30 pm

New patron to our library? Join us for nibblies, a tour of the building and an introduction to our programs and staff.

Tea and Talk Book Club: Friday, September 27 at 1:30 p.m.

“Carnegie’s Maid” by Marie Benedict. Copies of the book are available from the library. New members are always welcome.

All Ages Programming

Old Time Music Jam: (as part of Gillbilly 2019)  Saturday, September 28th 1:30pm

Back by popular demand: old time and bluegrass jam hosted by the Old Type Music Society. BYI and BYS (Bring Your Instrument and a song to jam to). All are welcome. Tea will be on!
