Sparwood Search and Rescue (SAR) was called out Saturday afternoon (August 15) to assist BC Ambulance with the rescue of an injured dirt bike rider in the Alexander Creek area.

Two SAR teams were dispatched to the area by ATV and transported the rider back to the trailhead and a waiting ambulance.

“The rider and his party were well equipped for an emergency and were very helpful in providing us accurate details on their location and looking after him until SAR arrived,” Sparwood SAR noted on social media.
